Seven cats feels like the point where they stop being a bunch of cats and officially become a council. There's no way that many felines aren't holding secret meetings while everyone's asleep. Every new decision has to go through the committee first. Buddy didn't just get adopted. He got appointed to the council. Hopefully they voted in his favor.

A whole family of voids is almost impossible to count. You spot three, then four, then realize another pair of bright eyes has been hiding in the pile the entire time. Black cats already have a way of blending together, so seeing a whole bunch curled up side by side somehow makes them even cuter. The only real challenge is figuring out where one ends and the next begins.

It would've been hilarious if nobody said a word at first. Just let him walk into the house, spot another cat that looks exactly like the one he'd already seen, and quietly wonder if he was seeing double. With six cats already running around, it probably wouldn't even seem that impossible. The look on his face when he finally realized there was actually one more cat would've been priceless.
